RIDER PROFILE: Ellen Flewitt
Meet Ellen Flewitt, our 15 year old downhill rider from the south coast of England.
When did you start riding: I started riding road and track at about ten and switched to XC and then ultimately downhill at 12.
When did you start racing: My first downhill race was at the end of 2014, but I raced on track, velodromes and some criteriums for a couple of years before that.
When did you join Female Riders team: 2015 aged 14
Favourite ride: Far side at Revolution, Elephants tail in Spain.
Bike & set-up: 2015 Vitus Dominer
Favourite rider (past or present): Brandon Semenuk and Missy Giove cos she’s a legend.
What else do you ride (bikes/boards): Vitus Escarpe [enduro] Giant TCR [road]
Favourite trail food / drink: Bananas and more bananas
Favourite food: Jamon
Favourite movie: Shaun of the Dead
Favourite music: Anything rocky, I’m partial to a bit of 70’s especially punk. Fav bands are The Clash, Artic Monkeys, ACDC and Fall out Boy

Riding highlight of 2015: National Champs
Goals for 2016: Learn how to whip, jump bigger, win more races and teach my dad to jump!
Where to watch out for you this season: Pearce Downhill series, couple of BDS and National Champs are my main races, but I’ll be at some of my local events, anything else that looks fun and I will try a couple of Enduros. Dad is promising to take me to Chamonix and Pila in the summer holidays.
